Back and Forth, Real or Hoax?

I've gone back and forth on this question over the years ever since I read The Bible Code by Michael Drosnin. Since I know many people don't know what to believe about "equidistant letter sequence" (ELS) Bible codes, I am sharing my conclusions.

The website of Isaac Newton Bible Code Research Society (ITCS), www.BibleCodesDigest.com changed my mind again, for the last time (so far). Prior to finding this site, I believed the arguments of the skeptics claiming that Bible codes could be reproduced in comparatively large works of fiction such as Moby Dick. However, R. Edwin Sherman, the founder of ITCS argues that the comparison is like apples and oranges. Reason being, that he has been discovering much longer, sentence like, meaningful sequences that have yet to be replicated outside the Bible.
